'Monkey Day' at Went Valley

The children had a great morning celebrating the Chinese New Year - the Year of The Monkey.
They made excellent chicken and sweetcorn soup with Mrs Blakeston and painted monkey masks with Miss White. They also enjoyed listening to stories and singing songs with Mrs Beck.
At snack time instead of our usual snacks we all tried oriental foods (thank you for your kind donations).
To round off the morning all the children were given their very own fortune cookie, pair of chopsticks and money envelope.
We all had a great time and we can't wait for the 'Year of the Rooster'!
